Addressing your campaign
There are three main ways to address your direct mail campaign, Laser, inkjet and labels. Each of these processes has it's place and which you use depends on the actual piece you are addressing, the level of personalization and your budget.
Laser
Laser printing is the highest quality and most versatile of the three processes. Listed below are just a few of the benefits of laser addressing your direct mail campaign.
- Print anywhere on the page.
- Use any size and weight font you like.
- Variable images such as signatures.
- Over 200 variables per page!
- Creation of custom copy depending on your data.
Inkjetting
This isn't your fathers inkjet! While using the same basic technology as a home inkjet printer our addressing machine is capable of speeds upwards of 20,000 pieces / hour at very high resolutions, in multiple colours.
- Use any Windows True Type font.
- Add a variable tag line ie. A special offer just for Mr. John Sample enclosed!
- Add a return address, logo and postal indicia while addressing.
- Multiple colours! (we cannot match custom colours)
- Colours available:
- Black
- Red
- Blue
- Green
- Yellow
- Orange
- Purple
Labels
Labelling used to be the standard for addressing almost all direct mail campaigns, but with advances in the technology mentioned above it has become the least desirable of the three options. In most cases we apply labels to a mail piece only when one of the other two options is not viable. In some cases the mailpiece is just not suitable, possibly because of size, shape or the material it was printed on. In almost all cases UV coating printed over the addressing block will mean we cannot laser or inkjet the piece.
