We Have Gone Green
Pegasus is now equipped to offer Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certification on our printed materials, as part of our mission to maintain the highest social and environmental standards on the market. The FSC and Rainforest Alliance models provide credible solutions to complex environmental and social issues around renewable paper fibre resources. The Forest Stewardship Council® is an international, non-profit organization founded in 1993 to support environmental, social and economic management of the world's forests.
The process starts with responsible forest management plans, who must involve local communities and Indigenous peoples to respect their rights and beliefs. To ensure that the paper maintains the integrity established in the forest management, the FSC has established a certification process called "Chain of Custody" which tracks the supply chain from forest to mill to printer to end-user. Each company on the supply chain is responsible for tracking, isolating and marking FSC products within its own operation.
Whenever possible, Pegasus will purchase and utilize FSC certified paper from its suppliers for our digital laser printing equipment. Our FSC certification through Rainforest Alliance allows us to imprint the FSC and Rainforest Alliance Certified logos as cerification that the paper stock is from responsibly managed sources. By displaying these logos, recipients will appreciate that your organization is taking positive action for the environment!
